Analysis of Homie
I remember the day when I bought my dog,
I was so excited to bring her home.
I named her “Spice” because her hair was gold.
She was so playful that I couldn’t stop her from running.
Then I started working and left her home.
She would wait for me and wag her tail whenever I got home.
It continued for seven years until…
One day, when I got home,
Her eyes are teary, there’s something wrong!
She was always on her favorite spot.
Mom said she’s not going to last long.
I couldn’t believe this day would come,
I received a message and I was told she’s gone.
Mom said she was on her favorite spot,
Not moving, no signs of life.
I couldn’t move; tears fell from my eyes.
Their lives are too short for the joy they give.
A question lingered on my mind,
Why do they leave and we get to live?
