Analysis of SHADOWY FIGURES

Shadowy figures are hiding
Out in the malignant night,
A malevolent moon glares down
Upon innocents after twilight.

Phantom figures are slinking
Through the dark and lonely town,
Shrieking fills the horrid night
Wicked burrowers tunnel underground.

Bat-like Verdillac are winging
Just metres above your head,
Planning soon to snatch you up
And make the night streets red.

Shrilling in ungodly hunger
Gigantic monsters swooping down,
Hoping soon to feast upon you
Within this loathsome town.

Baneful borrowers beneath
Following you as you walk,
Hoping to beat the Verdillac to you
As under the streets they stalk.

Shadow figures silently creeping
Under the maleficent moonlight,
Slowly following after you
Within this blood-stained night.

Green Men, Chosen, and Travellers
Shades and phantoms, and egrigor,
All slowly watching you from nearby,
Night feeders, predators, manticore.

In this foul and horrid night
Shadowy figures are plotting no good,
As through the town, they follow you
Out into the neighbouring woods.
