Analysis of Eyes of Judgment

Brianna P 1999 (United States)

Here I stand before the eyes of judgement
Not that of god or gods
Not that of death
The eyes of people
The eyes that we see everyday
When did everyone become equal to those of myth, legends and religions
To stand before me and dictate my free will
To dictate my broken path
I do not recall asking for you to look down on me
I do not recall you being in a higher position then me
I am human as are you
So who are you to tell me that I am wrong
Who are you to tell me I am nothing
That is for me to decide
I know my place
I know I am perfectly imperfect
So why tell me to conform
Why tell me to make something of myself
In my eyes I have made something of myself
In my eyes I am beautifully broken
In my eyes I do not need to conform
In my eyes you have no place in my crumbling path called life
You are not above me
I’m not above you
I shall dictate for myself
Before you continue to pass a shallow judgment
Look at yourself first and judge what you see
