Analysis of My Dream Came True

You came upon me in a dream
When I was a little girl,
You made me laugh when I wanted to cry,
And showed me happiness in my dream world.

Years went by, my pain increased
But I still saw you in my sleep,
Handsome little boy now a teen,
Within his eyes was a mischievous gleam.

I got to know you as I slept
But upon awakening I always wept,
You were the only joy I had in my life,
It was so full of pain, tears and strife.

Now the teen is a man,
Who had appeared in my dreams,
Now after all these years,
I hold him dear..
Cuz he's now my man.
