Analysis of You thought you knew

Theres always a reason im always alone.
And people wonder why i want to go home.
They build me up just to watch me fall.
Theres nothing left here for me at all.
As i welcome my long awaited nap.
For the day i will awake on my dear Lords lap.
So i can sit and tell him all my secrets and fears.
From my now silenced lips to my Gods own ears.
