Analysis of Talking Doors

Sherry Caayupan 1980 (Davao city)

Deep into an unseen fortress,
Tainted whispers hum along, passing through;
Where no one knows untamed beginnings,
Or downfalls of pitiful sinners walking by;

Awakened voices crept through these walls,
They transcend in undoubting misery;
A betrayed denial from blurred reality,
As idle steps crowd and fumble;

Drowning, slowly tumbling,
A rekindle of a powerful spellbound;
The rumble of God's wrath,
Reigned under skin's trembling touch;

The howl of the whistling wind,
Murmur across closed doors;
Like memories of love's crumbling past,
Pieces into pieces scramble onto the floor.
