Analysis of A TERRIBLE PRICE TO PAY
Evil has a price to pay
And terror is the cost,
Evil deeds may bring success
Yet your soul may then be lost.
Be wary of Earthly delights
In case you cannot pay,
The awful asking price involved
Cometh judgment day.
Be wary friends of what you ask
In case you get your wish,
Then when it comes the time to pay
You find a loathsome hitch.
For terror is the price to pay
For those who have been lost,
They find the Devil, hand outstretched
Their soul now is the cost.
So be afraid and be careful
Of what you ask, and whom,
For when you ask the wrong person
You are surely facing doom.
So be wary of what you ask
And of those tempting you,
If you deal with the wrong one
There’s nothing you can do.
Nothing to do to redeem your soul
It now must be a lost cause,
So before you pay a heavy price
Be careful, stop, and pause.
Success in this life may come
At a truly dreadful cost,
When in eternity you find
Your soul may have been lost.
Be certain not to ask too much
Ask only what you need,
For in the fiery world below
The Devil hears those who plead.
Those who plead for far too much
Much more than anyone could need,
The devil will oblige you yet
What a price indeed!
