Analysis of My destiny in hand (the tales told)

A certain young man visited a soothsayer in inquiry of what his destiny might become
 The spiritual man drew two circles
            one for success and the other failure
He placed a snail on the floor and said to the young man
"These two circles are your futures, which ever the snail settles in, is what your destiny will become"
In abrupt silence
The young man watched as the snail began it's journey
The circles were opposite     wide apart
And when the snail got in between, it turned to the right
           The path that led to the circle of success
Awed    the young man gave a wide grin
An explosion of ecstasy of what his future was to become
But like magic the snail quietly took an opposite turn
Headed leftward
But while it was about crossing the line to settle in the circle
            The circle of doom
The young man jumped in fury
Mad at what the gods had planted for him
Thorns in-between grasses    broken glasses for his barefoots
He quickly picked up the snail and placed it into the circle of success
"What gives!" The soothsayer fumed
The young man replied
"My destiny is in my hands      I cannot stand by and watch it fail"
