Analysis of Something More
In my search for something more,
I vow it will be better than before.
There are changes I need to make,
There are risks I have to take,
My options I have to explore,
It’s a waste of time to ignore.
In my search for something more,
Boy will it be some chore.
I will go wherever the wind may blow,
Accept what is and take it slow.
Each day will be a beginning,
To live a life full of meaning.
In my search for something more,
I will find the key that opens many doors.
Unlock the powers I have within,
To be seen and to be heard.
For in the end it is all up to me.
This is how I will come to be
In my search for something more.

About this poem
I wrote this poem when I was in my 30’s. It was the most trying time in my life. I had to focus on what I really wanted to be and do. I had to find ways on how to make it happen.
