Analysis of Heartbroken
Afeez Olugbemiga 1972 (Lagos)
I laid in grief on my sofa
My body trembles like a lily flower
I wept like a baby waiting for the quench of hunger
Who will offer me a shoulder to cry on
I wish i could turn back the hands of time
I wish i could wake up into yesterday
Never to realize today
A day of total delusion
We were inseparable before
A relationship which epitomizes every woman dream
But he vanished like thin air
Never to be felt again
I have the reality to bear alone
I have been jilted
I am heart broken
