Poems »

I was born on Long Island New York on November 26 1964 to Henry Eric Shepherd Jr and Virgie Mae Shepherd. I am the third of seven children. I am twice divorced with three children from my first marriage and two grandsons. I have loved writing ever since I was a little kid. I found that I was able to express myself better when I would write rather than when I talked. I remember watching The Walton's Christmas on tv back when I was a kid and I remember when the character John Boy. Was telling his father that he just wanted to write books. I didn't say anything to my family but that's how I was feeling. I believe that they would have laughed at me because I wasn't the greatest reader and as I got in highschool English was one of my hardest classes to pass until my senior year. I have always loved poetry ever since I was a kid listening to nursery rhymes. There was just something about telling stories and having your words rhyming.
