My life from an early age was surrounded by alcoholics and drug addicts beginning with my parents. I grew up with a lot of violence especially with my father and generational trauma that caused me to have my own trauma which later caused me to be diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder as well as anxiety. When I was 20 years old I lost my crush who was also my good friend to suicide on the Native American reservation. He was the first person to ever hear one of my love poems. I never felt like I could heal so I began to write more poetry to express myself. I love to write not just to inspire those who feel lost or came from a broken family or addiction, but more to remind myself that my words are the truth. They are the words that speak from the darkness and the light. Hopefully if you took the time to read my poems, you to can see into the darkness and light in this world.
