As a kid I grew up watching movies and hearing stories about my family and all they've been through. As time went on I fell in love with writing poetry and journaling my life events, when my ELA teacher told me to pick a world issue and something that felt close to home, I choose sexual assault to be able to voice the people that felt like they didn't have one.
