Horror & vampire poems set #001
ATMOSPHERE HEAVY WITH GLOOM
Mood dark as thunder
Atmosphere heavy with gloom,
Evil soon appears.
BELOW
Demons at anvils
Working upon the lost souls,
Of those sent below.
COURTING DEATH
Courting couples out
Walking arm-in-arm at night,
Only courting death.
THE CRIMSON TERROR
Red-eyed children come
Asking adults for their help,
Leaving only death.
DANGER SLINKING EVER NEARER
Sleepers unaware
Of danger slinking nearer,
Soon the sleepers die.
DEATH IS COMING NEAR
Flickering shapes lurch
Toward unsuspecting folk,
Death is coming near.
DEEP IN SUNKEN CRYPTS
Deep in sunken crypts
Ancient creatures stirring,
Hoping soon to wake.
THE DESOLATE
Life’s highs and lows bring
Hot, salty tears of despair,
From the desolate.
DRAINING THE LIVING
Twin-wounds dripping blood
From where red-eyed monsters fed,
Draining the living.
EERIE EYRIES
Desolate mountains
Containing eerie eyries,
Where red-eyed fiend lurk.
EVIL HAPPENINGS
Evil happening
The icy cold grip of death,
Strikes the unwary.
EVIL YET UNDONE
Dark shadows lurching
At unsuspecting couples,
Evil yet undone.
FEASTING AFTER DARK
Blood runs hot, from wounds
Inflicted by foul creatures,
Feasting after dark.
THE FEEDING FRENZY
Red-eyed monsters lurch
In the midst of a frenzy,
Vampires cruelly feast.
FLICKERING DEVILS
Flickering devils
With snake-like, glowing, red eyes,
Sup on sleeping prey.
FUNERAL ATTIRE
Funeral attire
On unsuspecting mourners,
Walking to their deaths.
GLIDING THROUGH DARK ALLEYWAYS
A tall caped figure
Glides through darkened alleys,
Feeding on lost souls.
HALLOWE’EN CALLING
Hallowe’en calling:
Witches and goblins ride out,
On their special night.
THE HALO OF DOOM
A halo of doom:
Disasters dogging your life,
Evil walks with you.
HARM-IN-ARM
Gruesome creatures reach
Toward the unsuspecting,
Walking arm in arm.
HORROR IN BURIAL GROUNDS
Pale-faced figures crouch
Horror in burial grounds,
Mourners soon to die.
HORROR ON THE WAY
Wispy shapes moving
Give an omen of what nears;
Horror on the way!
HUSKS
Fiends grab the living
Imbibe their vital juices,
Leaving only husks.
INNOCENTS ASLEEP
Innocents asleep
Unaware that danger lurks,
Just outside their room.
INNOCENTS TO DIE
Red eyes filled with lust
Sweet smell of death on pursed lips,
Innocents will die.
IN THE GRIP OF TERROR
In terror’s tight grip
You flee through the horrid night,
Red-eyed fiends pursue.
A LATE NIGHT BURIAL
Red-eyed monsters trail
After mourners leaving,
A late-night burial.
THE LOVER’S WALK
Careless lovers walk
Blinded to danger lurking,
Readying to kill!
LOVERS WALKING
Lovers walking near
Impenetrable shadows,
Something slowly nears.
PREDITORS HAUNT THE MOONLIGHT
On an evil night
Preditors haunt the moonlight,
Pale, bloodless creatures.
PREDITORS WATCH
Preditors watch as
Unsuspecting passers-by,
Walk toward their doom.
RED-EYED CHILDREN WALK
Red-eyed children walk
To unsuspecting adults,
Readying to feed.
A RED-EYED MONSTER STALKING
A red-eyed monster
Desperate to feed soon,
Stalking after mourners.
RENDING
A wispy shape leaps
Grasping its latest victim,
Rending them to death.
SHADOWY FIGURES CREEPING
Shadowy figures
Creeping through a lonely room,
Where innocents sleep.
THE SLEEP OF THE INNOCENT
Innocents asleep
Unaware of the danger:
Vampires lurking near.
TO FEED THE HUNGRY
Foul creatures leap out
To attack the living folk,
To feed their hunger.
WAY ON DOWN
Dark arms reaching out
From the very depths of hell,
Drag the living down.
