Transformation

It started with just a girl
Who was lost and broken
She had locked up her heart
Her words unspoken.
She wanted to be more
Not just an empty soul
And struggled with herself
Until she became whole.
With a new spark inside
Her soul ignites
The flames dance around her
As stars fill the night.
She comes across a path
One that gives her a choice
And after a moment of contemplation
She says in a quivering voice;
"I'll choose the path of least resistance
I wish to be free,
I will banish and defeat
all the demons inside me."
And as she starts down the path
An exciting new journey
Her soul grew with hope
And she no longer had to worry.
And soon she starts to bloom
Like a flower in spring
She was becoming something beautiful
And her soul began to sing.
Her voice became strong
More confident than ever before
And with a newfound happiness
She approaches a door.
She stared in bewilderment
Unsure of what to do
But then decided she needed to be brave
And curiously walked through.
The other side was unlike anything she had imagined
Trees danced and swayed;  a hum on the breeze
And as she danced along with them
She noticed her motions came with ease.
She had stepped out of the darkness
And as the moon filled the night
Her eyes became stars
And could see with a new sight.
She had become a galaxy
A fortress of dreams
No longer billowing her deafening screams.
She had become one with the earth
A soul of purity and love
She planted her roots
Echoing visions from above.
Everything she thought was an out of reach dream
Had suddenly become her reality
Like a phoenix her spirit rose to the surface
All because she chose the path of spirituality.

I really enjoyed the adventure of seeing what it is more important by the tangible symbolism. It is a simple story that holds so much power. Great job! I plan to read more poetry that you will share.
