My retirement came
And no cards were seen
Except one
From my special dream
The person who sent it
Never even knew
She was the reason
I survived my sexual abuse
She smiled at me in the hall
Never knowing she was my all
She was the reason
I survived all the pain
She is the reason
I am still here today
She was the one
Who made me see
How very special
Life can be!
