Forever Friend

Melita Catalina Warren 1949 (Kansas)

Someday on heavenly shores we will land,
Universal precepts to comprehend.

His magnificent ship is expertly manned.
We sail beyond each ocean bend.

He lifts us up out of sinking sand,
As faithful prayers we send.

He holds one’s frail, trembling, hand.
Perseverance He shall surely lend.

He paints brushstrokes fine and grand,
A masterpiece in pastel blend.

His creation astounds like rainbow’s strand.
He stands by one until the end,
For He endues forever friend.
