Your birthday, our bittersweet memory.
For your loving face is what we long to see.
In your loving embrace is where we want to be.

I'm not as angry at you, as I once was.
It's just a simple fact, a just because.
You just kept it inside too long,
 like everyone at times, does.

The fact is that we miss you, the pain so much to bare.
We see you in countless faces, in people everywhere.
Our wish is that you finally see, just how much we care.

Our wish, a different outcome, our souls then thankfully spared.
If you could have just thought only of us, and how much we cared.
The fact that all of your burdens, we so gladly would have shared.

But instead, all we have left, is just the memory of you.
No one knows what to say, and no one knows what to do.
On your birthday especially, our thoughts of you make us blue.

It is so tragic, how you felt, and exactly what you did.
Even more tragically, was the way you kept your demons hid.
The feeling of being so beyond help, Tim, you were just a kid.

So regretfully I have to talk to you this way, a way I shouldn't have known.
Because you should have had a happy life, by now you'd be full grown.
We all would have done our very best, our love for you would have shown.

Depression is an evil thing, it grabs onto the ones we love.
It leads them to a steep cliff, and gives them a cruel shove.
Hopefully you were carried to heaven, on the wings of a dove.

One day we hope to meet again, we can't say where, we can't say when.
But this is our hardest struggle in life, getting by and waiting until then.
In all reality, we want to be with you already, we can't wait to see you again.
