What We Had Then

Love isn't forever
It never has been
Just a fairytale
To suck us all in
My heart was all his
It just couldn't fend
When all he said is
"I'm unwilling to bend"
So here I am
Nothing to hold but this pen
Wishing I could have
What we had then.
