To The King
you sure do have a lot to say
post your thoughts most every day
some good, some bad some indifferent
takes lots of thought and much time spent
to read and absorb all that’s been said
to let it get in AND go to your head
The more I read the more I feel sorrow
Keep hoping for a better tomorrow
But again I see the very next morning
still busy ranting and raving and scorning
Cry out and complain and threaten to leave
so many times that we just don’t believe
I wish you would just go away
But what to do with the rest of my day
And Oh the joy in Annie’s smile
Would be visible from over a mile
If only one day the good lord would bring
NO complaints/comments/suggestions/accusations/insults from “The King”
