The God Of Love
They sat there everyday and like strangers they just looked
Its been 3 years since they got married and the day that they opened that book
The book of their lives and the story that I will now tell
The moments that took them to heaven and times that felt like hell
Till the day it all seemed over and he couldn't stop her from going out that door
Cause he knew she was going to leave him as he heard her tear drop hit the floor
Time can change a relationship but the memories will still remain
Of times he held her hand so soft or the day they danced in the rain
Could he bring that smile back on their face, maybe a few flowers would do
But I know just like that smile on her face, the flowers won't forever bloom
So as days went by all I knew is that soon she'd be walking out that door
Cause by then I knew she was going leave him, as I heard her tear drop hit the floor
But who am I to help them and could I heal the broken heart ?
For a love that's lost, could I help them find that love or the missing part
The part where they could even forget the vows that they once made
Or the ring on their fingers unlike their love that colour never did fade
So the reason I'm here is to help the two lovers that now have drifted apart
And like something that can be fixed with glue I could help fix their broken hearts
So days went by and they seemed a lot closer with no memories of the past
It was like the wind blew away their pain and made their love a kind to last
What could it be that brought them back so close, was it a blessing or was it just luck ?
But I think I'll tell you cause you've been guessing too long.. By my arrow they had been struck !
Well I've been here for a reason and that's the reason I live.. to give you all this love from above
I'll be there when you need me, you can call me "Cupid" or just simply "The God Of Love" !!
