The Best of Plans
Burning deep inside me is the
Burning flame of truth
The truth of who I am,
It was always God's plan
I traveled alone, thought I
Ignoring the wisdom of my 'Holy Spirit',
Mistakes abound I made
Not taking the time to hear it
Feeling more intensity from'Spirit' as
It kept pulling gently at me
I had to do it my way
I kept stumbling along as the 'Devil' played!
The journey to the destination has been
Jagged, twisted, curled
The price of doing it my way
Made me quite an interesting girl!
I still love, smile, dance and sing
I do not have a bitter frown,
I have enjoyed most of the times in my life
The ones I did not, taught me wisdom and price!
The mistakes were all mine, I have to admit
Becoming an adult that is the crust of it
Taking responsibility for decisions you make,
Not blaming others for any of your mistakes!
God has always loved me and
Loves me still
God has welcomed me home, he has dried all my tears
The peace I feel now is not a fleeting thing
I feel it deep in my 'Soul'
My smile is wide and bold for all to behold
The lessons I have learned have been
Bittersweet,
I spread pearls of wisdom
I want all to learn from me
The price of doing it my way
Sometimes devastated my 'Spirit'
I called out to the Lord, it was not loud but
God heard it!
God loves each of us fiercely
He has a beautiful plan for us all
Sometimes you will not understand,
Have faith, put yourself in God's hands
As I continue to live and love my life
I finally understand one thing
I speak it and see it,
I live it and believe it,
I walk it and breathe it
My Heavenly Father will see me through
He has the best of plans for
Me and You!
