Rain

Falling gently on the ground,
Making a softly tapping sound;
Rolling along through the gutters,
It has not a voice, it only utters;

Rain is dropping all around us,
Helping all to see the world,
When people and others aren't making a fuss;

Moving along at a bustling pace,
Leaving not any a thoughtful space,
To think and act as everyone hides,
This is what the rain provides;

It has a quality of its own,
So quiet, so timid, so gleamingly shown;
As it moves slowly on, starting to bring
The kind of air that makes birds sing;

The kind of world that is better for all:
Let's all stand outside and watch it fall.
