Pugilist

I can gaze into the
bottom of her Always
This separation hurts

Taunting my shadow
I mock its empty lament
Filled with fiery tongue kisses

Slow in meaning yet strong
As finger
Nails creep up my shoulder

Looking for a face to feel
Eyes gouging into
Absurd cold

& as ludicrous as it sounds
I still have Hope
Leaning on the ropes
