Pins and Needles

My heart beats in time to our first song.
It's always the same, and I never get the words wrong.
I keep saying that I don't have a problem.
But I know I'm only fooling myself.
I sit in the dark, my tears glittering in the moonlight.
My blood ran cold long ago at the vacant sight.
I don't know how you caught me, but don't let go.
I know we belong, but how can it be so?
You left me alone, and now I'm so confused.
I really want something to happen; I just don't want to be used.
Maybe this will work out, but you need to tell me how you feel.
Until then I'll wait, sitting on pins and needles.

I've always had a noticeable talent for writing. I tend to prefer short stories. When it comes to poetry, I write what I feel. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm also outspoken, and can be contradictive in my beliefs or misbeliefs. I love disguising deeper meanings behind symbols and metaphors. In result, my work may appear "dark", as most have described it. There are always hidden meanings and more to look for than what is on the surface. To me, this is the best way to become widely relatable and better understood. Please, don't be afraid to leave me a review. more…
