Oneness
There really is no them and us, of the same fabric are we made.
Any thread damaged or destroyed
diminishes the entire grade.
If we contaminate our water from the ocean, lake or stream,
the supply we freely drink
our reviled bodies can't redeem.
If we pollute the air we breathe in our city and village square,
the oxygen our lungs require
will suffocate and overbear.
If we poison our earthly soil of farm acres and meadow land,
the summer crops and autumn fruit
will be botanical's remand.
If we injure one another by disrespect or disregard,
society is undermined:
utter chaos with no-holds-barred.
There is a conceptual oneness, both spiritual and pragmatic,
a profound interdependence
that must be axiomatic.
