October

Sun-ripened leaves, fall quietly down
an' sweep up at short winds 'cross town
Golden suns hang like mirror-bead dew
Reflecting within the misty morning's hue

Breaths are deeper, just to smell the air
of berries an' apples an' spices to share
Cider cups clutter and nature sighs slightly
As her wilted death, colours October brightly
