Muhammad

The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him
united God's children regardless of status.
Side by side the people prayed
a family, ummah, united as one.

They built their own community respecting each others beliefs
adopted each other as sister and brother in their quest for love and peace.
Muslim, Christian, Jew, started their life anew
they turned their backs on vengeance and hatred
on greed and self important views
they closed their eyes to bigotry believing in equality.

Orphan, slave, rich man or pauper,
a nation was born to those who opened their ears
to those who heard the words and followed without fear
a miracle indeed
as Arabs turned their backs on their wicked, vengeful, sinful ways.

Is it really any wonder that so many believe in his vision
perhaps one day his example will unite us once again
and we will know the shame of twisting his words to cause war and pain
if only we'd listened to God's words of wisdom
spoke through Muhammad to teach us of love.

There would be no more bloodshed, no hate, no fear,
no persecution, radicalisation, no extremist Sharia law,
and the world look on in awe
of devotion that God's messenger delivered to all.

A nation who loves and respects us all
who feeds the hungry and clothes the poor
who shares his wealth and opens the door
to all who search for peace and love.

This is the world he speaks of.
So spread the word, share the love,
protect each other as sister and brother
this is the message from God.

Pray with me today and always, do it five times a day,
for paradise will surely be found if we close the gates to hell,
we all will know heaven on earth
if only we listen to God's infinite words.
