Mother Earth is Dying...

Mother Earth looks so older day after day,
Her green hair is balding and has turned to gray.
She can acquire a disease so easily,
Because of weak resistance and the cancer of ovary.

Because of too much heat of the sun,
Mother Earth skin acquired more than sunburn.
Because of fumes and smog she can't avoid to inhale,
And the solid waste we used to dump in the river or sea.
The Doctor said there's nothing they can do to cure her,
And she's going to leave us sooner or later.

 Mother Earth is so sick...
What are we going to do in order to help?
I am one of the reasons of her sickness.
I'm murdering her, my Lord God forgive me please...
I'm ready to face what-so-ever the payback.
When Mother Earth will get revenge in these lists of facts.

Joan Pacinabo

This is my second account here in poetry.com. This is my facebook account I use to signed up. Using my real name. Wu Lang is my pen name that I used in my first account. I'm Filipino working here in Taiwan as Caregiver for Elderly. I'm the eldest and breadwinner of the family. I'm a Butch Lesbian. I write officially at the age of 15. I used to wrote poetry in Filipino, our National Language and my native dialect Hiligaynon. But I decided to write it in English because I want to submit some of my work to our High School newspaper together with my Tagalog poems back then. I'm glad they like it and published 6 poetry of mine. EEC's OFW newspaper here in Taiwan featured 2 of my poetry on their Mother's Day edition years ago. I still have problems with my grammar but I can say I improved. By chatting and e-penpaling helps me a lot too. I'm getting used speaking Chinese everyday, so I need to practice English as well because its very important and it's a universal language.I don't want to believed in Zodiac Signs but Gemini/Rat speaks a lot about me...80% of it are true and the 20%, I got it from my parents. more…
