Mother

To her I was born,
becoming her thorn,
to none I'm sworn,
I am her firstborn...

The oldest of four,
blacksheep to the core,
shown the backdoor,
crawling out on the floor...

A love hate raising,
her past blazing,
my eyes gazing,
it's been amazing...

Having to let her go,
tired of the side road show,
I know you wouldnt know,
but its how I had to grow...

Receiving her hate,
forgiving life's debate,
none of it did I create,
it was just my fate...

All have grown differently,
some love with; a motherly,
it wasnt for me to see,
yet, I can see clearly...

What didnt come from mine,
from others was defined,
they are so kind,
it blows my mind...

Be who you are mom,
mine will always be yours,
yours will always be yours,
so what if I missed the prom...

Life has gone on,
I live as a ex con,
with none I bond,
blame it on the blonde...
