Millennium Melt Down
friday night is here
and it was looking awfully bright
so here's three cheers
for a jolly good night
i'm taking my girl
out on the town tonight
giving her my shiny pearls
just so we can see the sights
when we got to the
cineplex theatres
her face fell down
like a change in the weather
when she told me
she wanted to talk
i was feeling uneasy
i think i wanted to walk
she said she cant be
with me any more
she sobbed quietly
and said “what are you waiting for?”
when the love of my life
left me at the parking lot
i didn't know what was going through my mind
but it was muddy and awfully dark
i went back home and told my mom
and then i shed a thousand tears
i knew that i wouldn't get what i want
and then i bled a thousand fears
i knew i wouldn't ever find a girl like her
no not even in a thousand years
i thought she was the one, cause she was my very first
i counted the seconds, and the minutes, as i watch the hours burst
