Intoxicating Presence

My breath has been taken away glorious one,
As your spirit enters the room,
Spreading through every pore in my body and causing me to shake,
I scream out in bliss, drunken with your presence
My heart is pounding in my chest and my head is spinning.
Your majesty overwhelms me and I am left speechless,
Your presence is like a fire burning through all that is me,
Taking away my worries and transforming my spirit.
Surely this is heaven for I can not imagine a greater feeling.
I'm almost stricken by grief at the thought that it will end,
But for the moment I will remain transfixed by your splendour and grandeur.
There's no point in trying to control the feelings going through me,
This everlasting feeling of ecstasy and intoxication is almost unnerving.
You have taken my dry bones and given me life,
You've taken any dead feeling and filled it to overflowing with your Holy Spirit.
My back starts to arch as your spirit takes a stronger hold,
I have been in immersed in your love and affection.
This is greater than the intimate relationships of lovers,
No, this is more, this is far more beautiful, and far more addictive and mesmerizing.
I can't even put the feeling into words, as I swirl into a new state of mind,
Into a place where there is nothing but God and the world fades away.
You have captured me, and made me your own.
In this moment I began to cry tears of joy at the beauty of this moment,
The complete gravity of everything you are hits me, and I'm thrown to the ground,
Crying and laughing at the same time, I can only whisper your name.
And then you speak to me in a still small voice,
So still, yet the very sound shakes my entire being.
You whisper of how you love me and I am taken immediately with joy,
Knowing I am not worthy but you choose to whisper a love song to me.
I try to speak what I think, but can only sing in the tongue that you have given me,
I am able to get off the ground, and I began to dance and sing with the angels.
Sing in a language unknown to man, but known by the shepherd,
But I couldn't fully express my feelings to my lover,
For I knew nothing I could do would even compare to the things I feel in this room.
I am almost remorseful for knowing that all that I did couldn't compare,
But you still whisper how I have pleased you and how you love me.
So I take pleasure in the words you have spoken and continue to praise and worship you.
For I know that I will worship my Savior till I take my last breath on this earth,
Yes, I will soak myself in His presence until the night is day.
Dancing till I awake from this dream,
Though I pray i will never see the end of it.
