I Love You

Imelia Jone Green 1964 (Tacoma, Washington)

I told you that I love you,
I hope you know it's true,
I didn't know how to say it,
I didn't know what to do.
It took me some time to come to this conclusion,
Maybe I should've told you sooner but I didn't want any confusion,
If you don't know it by now you mean the world to me,
And from your life I don't ever want to be free.
I know that you are scared,
Believe me I am too,
I've been hurt by many,
And loved by very few.
If we should ever part,
I wouldn't know how to act,
I want to give you my heart,
And that's a well-known fact.
So now you know I love you,
Please believe it's true,
No matter how you feel about me,
Remember I'll always and forever love you.
