Heavenly Arms

A woman of promise, a woman of mirth;
A woman who could never know her true worth.
All the lives she would touch; how could she have known?
A mother to many, though many not her own.
A helper, a listener, a wonderful friend;
None of us believed something so beautiful could end.
We all wanted to believe she would be here forever--
"Mom? Die on us?" "No way! Not ever!"
How cruel life can be sometimes, not giving any choice
But to accept that beauty is gone--your face, your heart, your voice.
How broken my heart; does that mean you're gone forever, then?
I think not, I'm sure you went to Heaven, if anyone can.
God bless you and keep you, until the day I finally die;
When, Lord willing, into your heavenly arms I'll fly.
