Flee Upon Dreams

As I try to breath
My chest sinks in crushing me
At the verge of death
Or the act of betrayal

I can no longer hold my breath
Or I am forever trapped
Unable to exale
Of this attached pressure

Once I dispersed warm youth
Like a contagious infection
Upon love, worry, and truth
I kindle'd of joy

But now my roots have rotted
Of this old oak heart
Roughened and sorrow edges
Ready to be torn apart

So I await the day for a chance
As each and every day I reckon
To flee upon my dreams
And cherish these lonely seconds

I am a victim of anxiety and this is a description of my life of what I go through. It's very personal when it comes to panic attacks. I wish to escape into my dreams.
