eyes
i hear you next to me.
i see you standing eyes wide shut.
nothing around you feels.
because you feel nothing.
you enter the room.
with a certain glow.
of disbelief and dispare.
no words or acts of kindness.
will remove the shell from your heart.
you have gone cold.
hidden and alone from the world.
no light can penetrate the thick walls.
you reach out with hope.
but pull back so slightly.
inch by inch your further away.
till you slip back into the dark.
i see your glow.
could this be the day?
no, again they sink back into the nothing.
i wait outside your dark room.
waiting!
trying to coax you out.
with gentle words.
and what seems to be sweet nothings.
iv been waiting so long for you i said
you just look back not knowing what to say.
the days grow old as the time goes past.
theres no return on time unspent.
we sit and talk for awhile
so much is said while saying nothing.
laughs fill the air.
as i make you smile.
give yourself to me i think.
give me your heart is all i want.
let me show you the way.
unfold the love i see inside you.
share the greatness with the world.
i see the glow deep inside you.
masked by the swirl of brown and green.
my soul cries knowing the pain.
to never feel your love.
the shadow of the past fills the day.
the pain of forever never fades.
still knowing this i stay.
unable to leave your side.
theres nothing more i want then you.
so soon, so undeclared.
thank the past
why did the past have to be so wrong.
trust me my love
trust the words im telling you.
