Daze

Tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow again
yesterday, yesterday, and nevermind
where are you destined to go
in the car pool of life?
did you see yourself going there
from fence posts and barbed wire?
as sure as your home town
has steep hills to climb
the world has mountains you have never seen
under and above sea level
do not be deterred, you are prepared
to fight the good fight
by all means necessary at peace or war
learn to adapt to multiple situations
learn to perform tasks simultaneously
expect to be downsized
adjust to having your toes stepped on
regardless of who you are or what you do
where you end up is the happy medium
between freedom and rebellion
