Daddy

Marjorie Storey Thomas

Daddy's hands are big and strong
But as gentle as can be
I remember when he used to
Bounce me on his knee
He has always been a great provider
And he has kept us safe from harm
I never felt safer as a little girl
Than when I was in my daddy's arms
Not everyone has been as blessed as me to have
A daddy, so gentle, loving, and kind
So I thank God
Daily for blessing me with a daddy
Like mine
