Curmudgeons
Curmudgeons are irascible, grumpy and petulant.
Rose colored glasses they remove, preferring discontent.
Curmudgeons are idealists who want a perfect world.
"Business as usual" they reject, preferring it unfurled.
Curmudgeons are party-poopers who avoid revelry.
Festive merriment they dismiss, preferring misery.
Curmudgeons are matter-of-fact, blunt and nitty-gritty.
Ambiguity they detest, preferring clarity.
Curmudgeons are the spoilsports who desecrate allure.
Gratification they refuse, preferring displeasure.
Curmudgeons are custodians of town legality.
False imprisonment they despise, preferring amnesty.
Curmudgeons are the wet-blankets who dampen happiness.
Exhilaration they disclaim, preferring wretchedness.
Curmudgeons are level-headed, with plain lucidity.
Daft absurdity they deride, preferring cogency.
Curmudgeons are antagonists who assure probity.
Insincerity they decry, preferring honesty.
Curmudgeons give translucency to many foggy facts.
Obfuscations they expose, preferring open pacts.
