Christmas

The best sort of Christmas is one that is white
With two feet of snow and some drifts twice that height.
Though most may not see such a Christmas this year
I'll tell in a poem what Christmas is here:
Though not every year is our Christmas this way
I can always recall a white Christmas day.
Last Christmas is one of the best years to quote
For last year God dressed us in blankets of snow.
Snowflakes fell thick almost all through the season.
I loved every bit of it, quite without reason.
Though driving was slow and the roads were quite bad.
Its beauty made up for the dangers we had.
Though it fell just as fast as we shoveled the drive
We had plenty hot cocoa to keep us alive.
My brothers and I made some forts out of snow
Becoming the children we were long ago.
Although such a Christmas won't come every year
Nor will it visit you just anywhere
Such a Christmas I share with all on God's earth.
What better a way to recall our Lord's birth?
