Chasing Rabbits
She was in the habit of chasing rabbits
But she always made the same mistake of letting go when she grabbed it
And her behavior was only getting stranger
And that had worried her next door neighbors
She was in the attic of an abandoned basement
Up until four in the morning with astonished amazement
Staring at the paintings and the mixed up puzzles
Fixated on addictions she couldn't get enough of
She was a free spirit and her emotions, she would wear it
Drama from your mamas, she didn't want to hear it
Swimming in the ocean with sun tan lotion
In the heat of winter, when nobody ever notice
She was a maniacal insomniac
Whose favorite videogame was zombie attack
She'd go blasting all those monsters and flying saucers
Until she was at the counter asking for more quarters
She was just teaching in a classroom full of children
When she noticed the green eyed raven hanging from the ceiling
The kids with the crayons and the pencils drew a self-portrait
A portal opened up and the next thing she knew, she's was in Mexico, in hell's orbit
She was just dreaming of a dream she had yesterday
When the mailman delivered and the letter came
From the charming salesman wrapped up in mystery
And I think you know the rest, the rest is history
