Broken Arms

With the slamming of my door
Words of pain run through my veins
As things you've thrown do more than harm
They chip away my feelings for you
I now sit covering my cheeks
Holding back cries of pain
While I look upon you in disbelief
Hoping you understand the silence
With which you've been asking for
Now I make my way to the opening escape
When suddenly the screen is ripping past my face
And I am slammed against the pavement
I turned to you and said
Just remember love can't hold tightly
With broken arms

Gerald Lee

My poetry has always been derived from life experiences. I have had six poems published in chap books; one of which was translated across Europe (Broken Arms), which has been my pride and joy! I am a Pagan practitioner officially since October 31, 2009, and have loved it deeply ever since. I have a male lover of 19 years March 1st, 1994 to whom I have been hand fasted. I never considered my poetry to be great, I do however enjoy writing it and sharing it with others. I am currently working on one short story, while an older one is rough written and hiding in a box. I do plan to submit one in the not so distant future. I never know what to say here: So I will leave this with Love and Light; Blessed Be! Gerald more…
