August 1978

There once came a day
The day I met you,
It turned the gray sky
To a beautiful blue.
You were so pretty
Your eyes big and brown
I could feel my heart start to pound.
We went out for a while
Then I let you go.
There was something about you
But no love would grow.

There once came a day,
The second time I met you.
The sky was already a beautiful blue.
Now we're together
and there is love, love that will grow.
Because you took me by the hand
And helped me to understand.
