Angel of Time

I tell the world that I am only human
I use this excuse to hide my pride
Falling in love, is something hard to disguise
Especially when it's an angel from the heavens of time

You came to me like the swift wings from an angel
Casting a shadow over that I can't see
But feel through the winds of the trees
Like the river that flows into the sea

It seems so simple to understand
You see me when noones around
These frustrations show my patience
It seems I'll never get this right

For I have longed to know better
