Andes
Festering, blossoming, high above the bosom of the equator
in exposed earth between doors - windows - painted words
Beneath the stars bathed invisible in light,
the molten man crystallizes in spite of himself
Festering, blossoming, high above the bosom of the equator
Mountains stretch jagged hands away from Gaia
toward unexplored clouds and lightning striking suns,
moons crashing into mountains, unseen supernovas
Digging for nectar in the silent seismic underworld
in exposed earth between doors - windows - painted words
Hieroglyphs are translated into lingering truths
of the shape of man and the angles in the sky
Flat on his back, the nomad wards away sleep,
contemplating divinities, a destiny manifested in dreams,
beneath the stars bathed invisible in light
on the slopes of the rising plains
Atop the rugged perch, far away from broken birds
descending down cliffs, wind whipping feverishly,
chasing the endlessly setting sun,
the molten man crystallizes in spite of himself
