A Poem for Tiara

My precious Tiara, my second darling babe
When you smile, there seems to be no burden; everything is safe
You're the most precious, the most beautiful face to see and behold
When Mama needs a break, your smile can pay the debt

Like how I love your big sister the first time I saw her
I've been in love with you, too, even before I met you
Your eyes, your ears, your nose, your hands and finger, your feet and toes
Everything about you is beautiful, and just as precious

I have yet to hear your loud laugh and cheer
But for now, your coos and smiles are worth every pain where I've shed a tear
Please continue to smile for me my babe
And when you're hurt, tell me as I don't want your heart to break

If I can keep you as a babe, I would
If I can protect you from anything in this world, I would
If I can keep you in my arms forever, I would
But I'm just a steward of your life, little child
So please grow old and remember Mama when you could!
