I prayed this night for words to say
To you, my wife, that would convey
My love for you, my queen, my dear
Truer words you'll never hear
A wife so true, none can compare
My life, with you, I long to share
Your strength and heart are both like gold
Your heart's my strength, it makes me bold
Your beauty shines, it's brightness great
My heart it leaps, I cannot wait
To hold you in my arms, so close
I'm thankful for the gift God chose
To give me, love, my love, so true
His gift to me, with love, was you
Mere words these are, they're just the start
I add to these my hands and heart
I'll love you for forever, dear
