A pantoum about francis

Though well-to-do, he gave it all away,
His riches, even the clothing on his back.
Why? Because he heard Jesus speak that day.
What made Francis of Assisi act like that?
His riches, even the clothing on his back!
The people in town thought he was insane.
What made Francis of Assisi act like that?
His actions made his father feel ashamed.

The people in town thought he was insane.
"I don't care," he said. "Jesus is my Lord."
His actions made his father feel ashamed.
"Wealth?" said Francis. "Only Jesus is adored."
"I don't care," he said. "Jesus is my Lord."
Why? Because he heard Jesus speak that day.
"Wealth?" said Francis. "Only Jesus is adored."
Though well-to-do, he gave it all away.
