A listening Ear

Here as we lay across from each other
Like so many times before
I would look your way as if my eyes
Would speak so many things to you

You seemed to read my thots
As no words were ever spoken between
 either one of us
So many hours, days, months, not to mention
 years have gone by
As always you listen to me rattle on in reguards to my life

A life that wouldn't be complete
Without your ever listening ear
To hear me out as I want to say to you
Thanks so much for your love, and your time
As not a word was ever spoken by you
And as i parted from you i said to myself

I will see you again my friend and lover
That listens only the way a good one would
My one and only my listening ear
