A lifetime apart

I believe in life after death
You must have again taken breath
As a new being on this earth
And would have forgotten previous birth

But I am still here, same memories, same heart
Though in the same world but a lifetime apart
Today, I am a stranger to you
That relation holds no meaning for you

Here we mourn your death anniversary
Somewhere someone celebrates your birth anniversary
This moment in time is beyond lives and you
I miss you but don't want to remember you

Lest the old ties cast shadow
On your new booming meadow
I want you to be a bright star
In your new avatar

Note: Every soul who has taken form or birth on earth is called Avatar
